Work with Us
Peace Restored is committed to the training and equipping of Counselors & Coaches from a holistic and trauma-informed focus. We will provide practicum positions and internships for students seeking licensure. Additionally, we will work with individuals seeking training to receive a mental health coach designation. As a part of our training, we will provide supervision from an experienced, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with an approved supervisor designation through the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, additionally oversight will be provided by Certified Mental Health Coaches, and Counselors. One of the core values of Peace Restored is education for both our staff and clients. As a result, we believe knowledge is only valuable when applied which is what we strive to do though our Internship and Coaching program.
Our Training Program
During our training interns, students, and trainees will participate in weekly supervision, regular staff meetings, collaborate with other Care Team members, engage in direct services with individual clients, lead support groups and psychoeducational groups; and gain skills in treatment planning, tracking client progress, and documentation. Also, they will be encouraged to attend and/or work at various fundraising events. Further, there are occasional speaking engagements in which interns and trainees may participate. This internship will provide a well-rounded opportunity for growth and equipping as interns/coaches move forward. As a Christian non-profit organization, we are dedicated to helping women find hope and healing from difficult life experiences through excellent, evidenced based clinical skills and the life transforming power of Jesus Christ. We are excited to train, equip, and encourage new counselors and coaches in serving our clients well. We want to support beginning counselors and coaches as they develop their professional identity and learn to integrate Christian faith with their clinical and professional education.
Client Testimonials
“It is hard to imagine what all has occurred in my life in the last several years. I spent a long-term marriage being abused –physically, emotionally, and verbally. I had begun to believe that life was never going to change, so I was ready to follow my brother in suicide. I felt alone and abandoned by everyone, even God. In one last grasp for hope and help I called Peace Restored. Here I received patience, care, and direction to move me towards healing. I am a survivor today because of the work at Peace Restored.” -Forever Grateful.
